Wounding Charge, Alexandra Hills

Police have charged a 17-year-old boy following a wounding at Alexandra Hills overnight, 16 July.

Emergency services were called to Devon Road around 7:40pm following reports of a physical altercation involving a group of teenagers all known to each other, with one boy reportedly being stabbed.

Upon arrival, a 16-year-old Alexandra Hills boy was located with serious injuries, and a crime scene was declared.

The 16-year-old boy was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

Following enquires; a 17-year-old Alexandra Hills boy was located nearby on Oxford Street and was taken into custody.

He has been charged with one count of wounding, was refused police bail and is due to appear in Cleveland Childrens Court today, 17 July.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have relevant information or CCTV/dashcam to come forward.
