PULLMAN, Wash. — The Pah-Loots-Puu Powwow is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Washington State University's Beasley Coliseum. The celebration is sponsored by the ASWSU Ku-Ah-Mah and the ASWSU Native American Women's Association (NAWA).
For the past couple of months, the Native student leaders from ASWSU Ku-Ah-Mah, NAWA, the Tribal Nation Building Leadership program have been working to organize and put on the first in-person Pah-Loots-Puu powwow since Covid-19 hit in 2020!
The Pah-Loots-Puu powwow has two Grand Entries scheduled to start April 9th at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. The head staff for this year includes emcee Fred Hill, Arena Director Dan Nanamkin, Head Man Dancer Hahots Shebala, Head Women Dancer Meilani Decker, and the host drum group is Buffalo Hill Singers.
The powwow is free and open to everyone. Arts and crafts vendors will be available. All are invited to enjoy the singers and dancers from Tribes around the region.
