WWF Statement on NOAA Report on 2021 Global Temperatures

WWF

In response to a new report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) showing that 2021 was the sixth hottest year on record, WWF released the following statement from Marcene Mitchell, Senior Vice President for Climate Change:

"Year after year, we are clocking in with the hottest temperatures on record, and this year is no different. Meanwhile, the clock ticks on our response to address the climate crisis and we're running out of time. The data matches what we see with our eyes and feel in our communities. Over 40% of Americans now live in counties hit by climate disasters and that number is only going to go up unless we act now. We need Congress to advance real and effective solutions to climate change and nature loss by passing the Build Back Better Act."
