WWF Statement: Senate Deal on Historic Reconciliation Package

WWF

In response to today's news of a deal on a Congressional spending package that includes the largest investment focused on climate change and clean energy, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) issued the following statement from Marcene Mitchell, Senior Vice President for Climate Change:

"The need for immediate federal action to address the climate crisis cannot be overstated. This deal provides a good start towards meeting that need, but there remains important work for us all ahead. This deal is a cause for optimism, but we can't afford to miss this moment. Congress needs to pass this bill now. The American people have waited long enough. It's time to get this done and get to work."
