As we wrap up the 2024/25 financial year, we're proud to share that Wyndham City has successfully delivered more than $8.5 million in road upgrades as part of our annual Road Reconstruction Program.
This year, we've completed five road reconstructions across Hoppers Crossing, including at Moffatt Crescent, Mossfiel Drive (between Branton Road and Heaths Road), Warringa Crescent (Appian Court to Warrenwood Avenue), Lockhart Court and Hotham Crescent.
Over in Werribee, we also rebuilt Danube Drive, Kramer Street and Giles Court.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said these works were a crucial part of Council's Connecting Wyndham program, which aims to balance road renewal and maintenance with the City's growing infrastructure needs.
"This major investment in road reconstructions is helping to create safer, more durable, and better-connected streets across our city - and the results are already being felt by local residents, commuters and families," Cr Shaw said.
"The Danube Drive upgrade was a standout this year, with a rebuilt road surface plus added safety features like a raised school crossing and indented parking bays to ease school-time congestion."
"This is a great example of how we're designing upgrades with local needs in mind."
"Meanwhile, we've already hit the ground running on the 2025/26 Road Reconstruction Program and are currently evaluating construction tenders for six road upgrades across Werribee and Tarneit."
