Yarra City Council's Universal Design and Disability Inclusion Policy guides all the work we do to ensure we are a more accessible and inclusive place for our community.
The Policy focuses on six key priority areas:
- Accessible places and transport - Create public spaces and facilities that are inclusive and connected
- Inclusive services, programs and information - ensuring everyone can access what Council offers
- Inclusive participation and employment - supporting involvement in community life and work
- Fairness and safety - promoting equitable treatment and safe environments
- Belonging and celebration - recognising and valuing diverse experiences
- Effective data and reporting outcomes - improving how we measure progress and accountability
Now we want to hear from the community. Your feedback will help finalise the Policy before it goes to Council later this year.
