Yarra Mayor to represent at advisory panel

We are delighted to share that Yarra City Council Mayor Claudia Nguyen has been appointed to the 2023 Local Government Mayoral Advisory Panel (LGMAP).

Mayor Nguyen will join 13 other Mayors from around Victoria to advise the Minister for Local Government on legislative, regulatory, strategic and policy decisions that impact the local government sector and present ideas and opportunities for improving the local government sector.

Yarra City Council Mayor Claudia Nguyen expressed her excitement to represent Yarra on this advisory panel.

"I am excited to collaborate with my fellow Mayors to provide advice to the Victorian Government on decisions that impact the local government sector."

The LGMAP is a statutory advisory committee established on an annual basis.

The first advisory panel meeting is scheduled 4 April 2023.
