Yarraman Waste Management Facility moves to next stage

Plans for an upgraded waste management facility at Yarraman have moved to the next stage following lodgement of the Development Application for the facility.

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) Water and Waste portfolio leader Cr Nancy Sommerfield said feedback from residents had enabled Council to make changes to the design, to better suit the community.

"We recently undertook community consultation regarding upgrading the facility. The feedback we received was extremely positive and provided better insight into the specific needs of the community," Cr Sommerfield said.

"There were a couple of suggestions raised by residents and these have now been taken into consideration as part of the updated plans.

"The Development Application has been lodged. When the plans are approved, we'll prepare the 'design and construct' documents to get the project ready for tender by the middle of this year.
