SA Gov

Exports of premium South Australian food products continue to grow from strength to strength, with Foodland Supermarkets in Thailand substantially expanding its partnership with South Australian company The Yoghurt Shop.

Following significant consumers demand, Foodland Supermarkets in Thailand will offer a larger range of The Yoghurt Shop products, across more stores.

Foodland has become a significant retail partner for The Yoghurt Shop in Thailand, with strong year-on-year sales growth, representing an almost 300 per cent increase in the early months of 2026.

The Yoghurt Shop and Foodland partnership was struck following The Yoghurt Shop's continued engagement with the Thailand retail market – a part of their larger Southeast Asia expansion plan.

While in Thailand to support the delegation of ten South Australian companies participating in this year's THAIFEX trade show, Minister Picton was pleased to join The Yoghurt Shop COO Brandon Reynolds at Foodland Silom Park to meet with Ramida Jongsupangkarat, Commercial Director, Foodland Supermarkets to see first-hand the amazing range of South Australian food and beverages in store.

Brands such as Thomas Foods International, San Remo, Beerenberg, Bickfords, Penfolds, Wirra Wirra and of course, The Yoghurt Shop, demonstrate the strength of South Australia's premium food and beverages on the global stage.

Home to more than 700 million people, Southeast Asia is on track to become the world's fourth-largest economy by 2040 and was identified in the South Australia Trade and Investment Strategy to 2030 as a priority growth market.

As put by Chris Picton

The success of The Yoghurt Shop in Thailand is another great example of South Australian products making huge strides in key international markets because of their quality and reputation.

This is exactly the type of export success story that demonstrates the long-term value of trade engagement between South Australia and Thailand.

Speaking with buyers, retailers and importers at THAIFEX, it's clear there is strong demand for our state's premium produce which will create more opportunities into the future.

As put by Brandon Reynolds, The Yoghurt Shop Chief Operating Officer

The relationship with Foodland in Thailand has expanded significantly over the past 12 months and has now become one of our most important retail growth stories within Southeast Asia.

We originally started with a small trial of only a few displays in a small number of stores, however due to very strong consumer response and sales performance, Foodland is now substantially expanding our ranging opportunity across their broader Bangkok network.

Across the start of 2026, we have seen exceptionally strong year-on-year sales growth in Thailand which reflects the increasing demand for premium Australian dairy products within the region.
