Yorke and Northern LHN five year strategy released

The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) has released a strategy and vision for its health services over the next five years.

YNLHN Governing Board Chair, John Voumard, said YNLHN is looking forward to working with communities, consumers, clinicians, staff and a range of stakeholders to bring the vision and priorities to life.

"We are pleased to announce the completion of the inaugural strategic plan for the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network and to launch our new branding, which reflects the unique characteristics of our region," Mr Voumard said.

"The strategic plan focuses on growing our local health services and outlines key strategies that reflect our commitment to continue delivering high-quality health services to our communities.

"Our new branding is an exciting change for our region as it represents our Local Health Network and showcases the diverse range of health services we provide to communities across the Yorke and Northern region.

"We would like to thank everyone who provided valuable feedback and shared their health values and priorities about future health services across our Network."

YNLHN Chief Executive Officer, Roger Kirchner, said the plan identifies a range of strategies that will help strengthen the delivery of health services provided to local communities across the network.

"We know it is important for people to access the health care they need, as close to home as possible, and this plan will help ensure we can continue to deliver high quality health services to communities, both now and into the future," Mr Kirchner said.

"Working together with community members, clinicians, staff, partners and stakeholders will be integral to the success of this plan, and we intend to create a variety of engagement opportunities to ensure our services are tailored to the needs of each community.

"Some of the key strategies outlined in the plan include building a sustainable workforce, strengthening health services, expanding training opportunities and exploring more innovative approaches to the delivery of our services.

"This is an important milestone for our Local Health Network, and we are excited to roll out the new
YNLHN branding, which will help people identify the range of health services we provide to the community."
