Young musicians from across Corangamite Shire are being encouraged to step into the spotlight and perform in front of a live audience.
Registrations are now open for a series of youth performance opportunities throughout 2026.
Mayor Kate Makin said Council is seeking expressions of interest from young performers aged 12 to 25 to take part in a range of community events
"This is an amazing opportunity for emerging artists to get the experience and thrill of performing live in front of local audiences.
"All music styles are welcome, including originals and covers.
"Whether you're a solo artist, or in a duo or band, the successful applicants will get to perform at major community events."
Successful applicants will be able to perform for up to 30 minutes on the Youth Stage at upcoming events including:
- Corangamite Youth Showcase, Sunday 20 September
- Camperdown Show, Saturday 10 October
- Noorat Show, Saturday 21 November
- Light Up Camperdown, Friday 4 December
Corangamite Shire Council Manger Economy and Prosperity Katy McMahon said the initiative provided an important platform for young people to build confidence, develop performance skills and showcase their talent.
"These events give young musicians the chance to get professional experience and share their passion for music with a supportive audience.
"Whether you're performing for the first time or already developing your music career, we encourage young artists from across the region to get involved."
The youth stages are proudly supported through the Victorian Government's Amplify program, helping create more opportunities for young people to participate in live music and community events.
