Cabonne Council has honoured 12-year-old Penny from Manildra as its Youth of the Month for September 2025, recognising her outstanding leadership, sporting achievements, and community involvement.
Nominated by her netball coach, Penny stands out as the 2025 School Captain at Manildra Public School and a key member of the school's debating team. She has excelled in sports, earning the title of Senior Girl Champion in swimming, cross country, and athletics, and has represented her school at district, regional, and state levels in swimming.
Penny's netball accomplishments include playing for Orange Rep, competing at the Junior State Titles in Sydney, and selection for Western Region teams. She is also a dedicated member of LIFE Studio Gems and the Manildra Swimming Club.
Beyond her sporting and academic success, Penny is committed to her community, volunteering at school events, umpiring netball, and coaching younger athletes. Her positive attitude and encouragement make her a role model for others.
