Federation Primary Prevention Team (FPPT) are excited to announce that local street artist, Chris Henderson has been selected to transform the Corowa Skate Park into a vibrant landmark of local culture.

Following a competitive search earlier this year, Henderson-a renowned Australian artist known for his large-scale public works like Albury's Little Egret-will mentor local youth to co-design and install original murals across the park's shelter sheds and toilet block.

The project aims to turn the popular recreational hub into a space that local young people can truly call their own.

"This isn't just about painting walls; it's about professional mentorship," said Henderson. "My goal is to help the youth of Corowa translate their stories into a visual language and give them the tools to shape the identity of their own town."

The existing mural at the skate park shelter sheds holds deep personal significance for Chris. It was his very first commissioned mural, completed over ten years ago, and it set him on the path toward becoming the public artist he is today.

The mural project kicks off a high-energy line-up of Youth Week events featuring professional skate competitions, creative workshops designed to foster community pride and connection.
