Youth Strategy consultation - we want to hear from you

Are you interested in the future of youth in our municipality?

Swan Hill Rural City Council is developing a Youth Strategy and we would like to hear from you.

The five-year Youth Strategy will consider the needs and aspirations of young people aged 12-25 who live, work or study in the municipality.

The 2020-2025 Swan Hill Rural City Youth Strategy will provide overall direction for Council's Youth Support Program initiatives, advocacy and support work for young people and their families.

Swan Hill Rural City Council Youth Support Program Coordinator Kane Sparks said Council had appointed Youth Researchers to assist with data collection.

"We have appointed two Youth Researchers to assist us in capturing necessary data and are delighted to have Mia Rovere and Milla Devlin on board," he said.

Youth Researcher Mia Rovere said she was looking forward to her new role.

"As a Youth Researcher I will be providing assistance by designing and testing research tools - we want to talk to as many young people aged 12-25 as possible."

"Widespread consultation will occur during October and November with a strong focus on hearing from young people aged 12-25 who live, work or study in the region," she said.
