Students from government and non-government school can apply until 1 December 2023 on the Department of Education website here.

Previous and current members represented the Territory's diversity from all regions, including homelands communities, specialist education settings and the distance education system. They joined the YVPG to:

improve student engagement and wellbeing in classroomsensure schools are a safe place for students physically and mentallyadvocate for equal job opportunities for people with a disability support learning of culture in schools.

The YVPG is a key action of the Education NT Engagement Strategy 2021 - 2031, where young people have the opportunity to use their valuable insights to help guide teaching and learning that is meaningful for students of today and tomorrow.

I look forward to meeting the new members and working closely with them to listen and learn from each other to make a tangible impact on education," Ms Weston said.
