Five youths have been arrested after allegedly stealing alcohol from a bottle shop last night.
Just before 8pm on Wednesday 18 February, five youths allegedly wearing balaclavas and face masks entered a bottle shop in Seacombe Road, Seacliff and took a large quantity of alcohol before fleeing the store.
There were no injuries reported to staff.
Southern District police, PolAir and a police dog searched an area in Dover Gardens and five youths were located and arrested.
The youths were charged with various offences including theft, breaching bail conditions and hindering police.
A 14-year-old Clovelly Park boy and 15-year-old Greenacres boy were both refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court later today, Thursday 19 February.
The 17-year-old Dover Gardens boy, a 14-year-old Underdale girl and a 14-year-old Christies Beach girl were bailed and will appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court on Thursday 9 April.
