Youths arrested in stolen car, South Australia

Two youths will face court today after dumping a stolen car at Morphett Vale.

Just before 8pm on Wednesday 25 August police were called to Edith Street after two people were seen running from a Kia Rio.

Patrols set up cordons in the area police dogs Zeus and Rusty with their handlers searched and located two men close by.

Checks on the car revealed it had been stolen with the keys at a break-in on Monday 23 August at Huntfield Heights.

Both men aged 19 and 18 from Salisbury North and Morphett Vale were charged with serious criminal trespass, theft and illegal use of a motor vehicle. They have both been refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.

Police are investigating possible links to the recent crime series at McLaren Vale.
