Youths charged over crime series , SA

Two teenage boys has been arrested and charged in connection with several break-ins across Adelaide's eastern suburbs where cars were targeted, according to SA Police.

Police will allege one youth was involved in recent break-ins at homes at Medindie, Wattle Park, Greenwith and St Peters, stealing wallets, and cars, including a BMW from Wattle Park and a Mercedes and BMW from the St Peters home yesterday.

Investigators from Operation Mandrake, arrested the 16-year-old youth from Wingfield yesterday afternoon. He was charged with four counts of serious criminal trespass, five counts of illegal use of a motor vehicle, nine counts of theft of wallets, purses and computers .

While a 15-year-old boy from Alberton was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass, illegal interference and theft from the property at Wattle Park on 27 May.

Both boys were refused police bail and expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court later today.

The BMW and Mercedes stolen from Fifth Ave St Peters were recovered dumped at Parafield Gardens and Athol Park.

Police equiries are continuing with further charges and arrests likley.
