000 Call-Taker and others charged

As a result of an ongoing Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) investigation, the following persons have been charged and will appear in court:

• A 42 year old Perth woman, who was working as a 000 call-taker at St John Ambulance, is charged with 12 x Disclosing Official Secrets and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 20 August 2019.

• A 35 year old High Wycombe woman is charged with 7 x Disclosing Official Secrets and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 5 September 2019.

• A 42 year old Southern River man is charged with 12 x Disclosing Official Secrets and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 10 September 2019.

The offences relate to official information allegedly disclosed to persons employed in the towing industry.

The IAU investigation follows corruption charges laid against a 32 year old woman in January 2019 while she was employed at the Police Assistance Centre.
