10 affordable activities for Casey teens this summer

Santa is nearly here and before you know it, New Year's Eve will have come and gone. Once the festive fun is over, how will you keep your teens entertained these school holidays? Watching funny YouTube videos all summer probably won't cut it-you need them to get active, have some wholesome fun and make new friends.

But where? With whom? And how much will THAT cost?

Introducing: The Casey Teenage School Holiday Program - Summer 2020.

We're talking Gumbuya World, go karting, cooking, Luna Park, kayaking, crafts, the beach and more!

This Council-run initiative is for young people aged 10 - 17 years and offers fun, age-appropriate activities at reasonable prices. The Summer 2020 program runs from Monday 13 January to Friday 24 January, excluding weekends. You can book for any number of the activities. Bookings are open now.

Prices range from FREE to $35. There is free transport from convenient drop-off points and Casey Youth Services supervise each day, from drop-off to pick-up.

What the kids are saying about it...

Casey resident and regular program attendee Breanna, 13, said she's loved taking part in the program.

"The people are nice and that's what keeps me coming back. To any kids thinking about coming along, go for it!"

Casey teenager Thomas Edwards said that he most enjoyed getting to meet new people.

"Each time we come we have made new friends. The staff are so kind and - seriously - don't worry, you will make new friends," he said.
