Mornington Peninsula Shire has today launched its Shout Out for the Peninsula advocacy campaign, calling on all political parties and candidates contesting November's State Election to commit to investing in the future of the Peninsula.

With 130 days until Victorians head to the polls, the campaign highlights the infrastructure, services and community projects needed to support one of Victoria's fastest-growing and most visited regions.

The campaign outlines key priorities across the Peninsula's three state electorates: Hastings, Mornington and Nepean, with a focus on improving safety, liveability, connectivity and support for vulnerable communities.

Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Stephen Batty said the Peninsula's communities deserved a clear commitment from all sides of politics.

"The Mornington Peninsula is a remarkable place to live, work and visit but our infrastructure and services need to keep pace with a growing population and increasing pressures on our communities," Cr Batty said.

"Through Shout Out for the Peninsula, we are highlighting practical projects that will make a real difference from safer roads and better transport connections, to improved healthcare, housing and support for people experiencing homelessness."

Across Hastings, priorities include a complete rebuild of Coolart Road, continued homelessness support through Western Port Community Support and unlocking future opportunities through appropriate land use planning around the Port of Hastings.

In Mornington, the campaign is calling for investment to complete the missing section of the Peninsula Trail between Mornington and Moorooduc, upgrades to key road intersections, improved coastal access and support for vulnerable residents experiencing housing stress.

In Nepean, priorities include securing the future of Rosebud Hospital through major upgrades, investment in practical housing solutions, improved transport safety and restoration of important coastal assets.

Cr Batty said the campaign was about ensuring the Peninsula received its fair share of investment.

"These are not partisan priorities. They are community priorities."

"We look forward to working constructively with all candidates and parties to ensure the needs of Peninsula residents are understood and reflected in election commitments."

The Shout Out for the Peninsula campaign will continue throughout the lead-up to the November State Election.
