2024 enrolments open for ACT public schools

ACT public school enrolments from preschool to year 12 open today for the 2024 school year. This includes the new high school in East Gungahlin, open to residents of Kenny, Throsby and specific areas of Lyneham.

Canberra's newest high school in East Gungahlin is also open to residents of Harrison, Franklin, Gungahlin, Mitchell, Watson and Downer, as well as parts of Ngunnawal and Forde, due to a one-way shared priority enrolment area (PEA). Residents in these suburbs have the choice of enrolling in their existing PEA high schools or the new high school in East Gungahlin.

Enrolling in a new school is an important milestone in every child's life, and being among the first students in a brand-new school community while it is being established is a particularly exciting opportunity.

If you apply by 2 June, you will get an offer from 24 July 2023 and can start planning for your child's 2024 school year.

Every ACT public school is a great school, and there's a guaranteed place for every child in their local school from kindergarten to year 12 to learn, grow and reach their potential.
