2026 Dick Martin Scholarship Recipients Named

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) announced the winners of the 2026 Dick Martin Scholarship, an award that encourages interest in the field of occupational health and safety.

David Ginter (University of New Brunswick) and Jacky Law (British Columbia Institute of Technology) have been selected as this year's winners and have each been awarded $3,000. Additionally, their respective academic institutions will each receive $500.

The Dick Martin Scholarship is open to post-secondary students studying full-time or part-time towards a certificate, diploma, or degree in occupational health and safety at an accredited Canadian college or university. A panel of health and safety professionals select recipients based on specific criteria, including the submission of an essay on injury prevention or research addressing a specific workplace hazard or risk.
