$30 Million Oz Lotto Winner Ponders Early Retirement

In an incredible turn of events, a man from Killara, located in Sydney's Upper North Shore, has come forward to take his windfall of the entire jackpot of $30 million he won in the Oz Lotto draw on Tuesday, 18 October 2023. As the sole winner of the division one prize, the man's life has taken an exhilarating twist.

The winning ticket was not registered, leaving lotto officials with no means to directly inform the winner yesterday. It was only when the man checked his ticket and approached them that they could confirm his newfound multi-millionaire status.

In a call with a lotto official, the stunned winner exclaimed “I can’t believe I’ve won $30 million.”

Despite his frequent travels abroad for work, the man was elated to have purchased the winning ticket during his time in Australia, remarking, “Australia is my home!”

With this monumental win, the Killara resident is seriously contemplating early retirement, freeing himself from the hustle and bustle of corporate life.

“I had plans to continue to travel for work but this prize has changed everything for me.”

The golden ticket was bought at Lindfield Newsagency, situated at 3 Lindfield Avenue, Lindfield. Constatine Mastrantonas, the owner of the newsagency, expressed his joy and disbelief at having sold the jackpot-winning ticket, the biggest in the store's history. The last significant win they had was a $1 million prize in the Monday & Wednesday Lotto many years ago.

The winning numbers for the Oz Lotto draw 1548 were 21, 23, 18, 39, 14, 33, and 46, with supplementary numbers 37, 41, and 28.
