50 Years of Family Traditions at Crib Point Pool

Some places don't just age, they gather stories. And for 50 summers now, Crib Point Pool has been quietly collecting them, one splash at a time.
Opened in 1975, the outdoor pool has become a rite of passage for the community. First swims. School carnivals. Early morning laps as the sun peeks over the trees. Kids who once clung to the edge now return with children of their own, passing down a love of the water like a well-kept family secret.
The 50th anniversary celebration felt exactly right. Families having fun, music drifting through the air, laughter echoing off the water. Long-time locals mingled with first-time visitors, all discovering or rediscovering why this seasonal pool is such a hidden gem on the Peninsula.
More than just a place to cool off, the pool has always been about connection. It's where generations have learned to swim, built confidence around water and found a sense of belonging during long, golden summers.
