522 community groups will share in $13.4 million worth of Queensland Government grants through round 105 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Yvette D'Ath said the popular program locked in important funding for 522 community and sporting groups, local councils and other organisations throughout Queensland.
The Attorney-General said grant recipients would enjoy flexible arrangements in acquitting the latest funding, as many deal with the effects of coronavirus.
"Some organisations have delayed or extended the timeline for their events, purchases or projects as a result of COVID-19, so we've put flexible arrangements in place to take this into account," she said.
"Year in year out, this program keeps communities connected and delivers great experiences and outcomes for thousands of Queenslanders.
"So many organisations rely on the funding this program delivers for things ranging from the purchase of vehicles, technical and sound equipment, sporting facilities and community events.
"I want to congratulate all successful recipients from this latest funding round because I know these grants will make a huge difference to so many people."
The GCBF grants are worth between $500 and $35,000 and applications are open to not-for-profit organisations. Over the past 25 years, GCBF has distributed more than $947 million to community groups helping Queenslanders.
The grants are merit based and funding is allocated by an independent panel.
