84 year old man assaulted at his East Cannington home

Cannington Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding an 84-year-old man being seriously injured on Sunday, 16 August 2020 at his East Cannington home.

It is believed around 7pm the man went to investigate a disturbance outside his Henry Street home and was assaulted by unknown offenders.

Police located the 84-year-old man with serious head and facial injuries and he was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital where he remains in ICU pending surgery.

A series of disturbance and damage complaints were reported to police as occurring between 6pm and 8.00pm on Derisleigh Street, Henry Street, Burge Way, Railway Parade and Central Terrace.

Detectives urge anyone who was in the Queens Park, Cannington, East Cannington and Beckenham areas between 6pm and 8pm on Sunday 16 August 2020, with CCTV or dash-cam vision to upload it to police via the link:-
