ACCC

On 22 July 2026, the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation for Google LLC and Epic Games, Inc to give effect to certain terms of a settlement the parties have reached to resolve ongoing litigation between them in Australia. Those terms relate to the Google Play service fees that Google may charge developers and to the display and use of alternative payment options to Google Play Billing.

The ACCC proposes to grant authorisation until 30 September 2032.

The ACCC is now seeking submissions in response to the draft determination by Friday 7 August 2026, before making its final decision.

More information about the ACCC's draft determination is available on the ACCC's public register for Google LLC and Epic Games, Inc.
