Acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm , Wilsonton

A 34-year-old man has been charged with three counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm (domestic violence offence), following an incident at Wilsonton in Toowoomba this morning, Saturday, March 12.

Police attended a Wilsonton address just before 10am, to reports of a man making threats towards a woman known to him.

It will be alleged fuel was poured over the bonnet of a vehicle containing two children, while the woman was standing near to it.

The man fled the scene in a separate vehicle.

The woman and children were not physically injured.

Police intercepted the vehicle on Barlow Street, where a 34-year-old Wilsonton man was taken into custody.

He has been denied police bail and will remain in custody and is expected to appear before Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Monday, March 14.
