ACU has once again been recognised as Australia's leading research institution in educational psychology and counselling by The Australian 2026 Research magazine.

Four ACU researchers have been recognised as leaders in their fields.

Professor Bridget Pratt from ACU's Queensland Bioethics Centre is the leading researcher in bioethics.

Associate Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman from the Peter Faber Business School (Sydney) is the leading researcher in finance.

The latest edition of The Australian 2026 Research magazine presents a comprehensive picture of Australia's best research, naming the top performers in 250 different fields of inquiry.

ACU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) Professor Abid Khan congratulated all researchers involved in the ranking results.

While rankings are just one measure of success, Professor Khan said this achievement acknowledges ACU's leadership in research and innovation.

"The public recognition of ACU's high quality research is testimony to the sustained commitment of our staff to pursuing excellence in all of our research activities," he said.

"Being recognised as leaders in their fields continues to highlight our commitment to research excellence and the real contributions our academics make to advancing knowledge, fostering human flourishing and fostering an ethical future."

The Australian 2026 Research magazine ranks the world's leading research institutions and individual scholars across 250 specialised fields. The rankings draw on citations of papers published in each field's top 20 journals over the past five years, highlighting those making the greatest impact in their fields.
