A 26-year-old Perth man has been charged with drugs and proceeds of crime offences as part of Operation Loxton.

The Nollamara man was arrested yesterday (Friday 18 October) and is due to appear at Northbridge Magistrates Court today (Saturday 19 October). He has been charged with trafficking a marketable quantity of methamphetamine and dealing in proceeds of crime worth $50,000 or more, contrary to section 302.3(1) and 400.5(1) of the Criminal Code 1995 (Cth).

The maximum penalty for these offences are 25 years and 15 years imprisonment respectively.

Police also seized vehicle wheels believed to have concealed illicit items, mobile devices and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

This arrest comes after the AFP executed two search warrants on residences in Nollamara earlier in the week and seized approximately 1.1 kilograms of methamphetamine, 350 grams of heroin, 100 grams of cocaine and $100,000 cash.

A 57-year-old female related to the 26-year-old man was charged with trafficking a marketable quantity of methamphetamine and heroin, and dealing in proceeds of crime worth $10,000 or more, contrary to sections 302.3(1) and 400.6(1) of the Criminal Code 1995.
