Additional charges over death of man at Tregear

Detectives have laid additional charges over the death of a man at a home in Sydney's west last month.

Emergency services were called to a home on Ellsworth Drive, Tregear, about 10.30pm on Saturday (10 June 2023), after a man was found unresponsive in a bedroom.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were unable to revive the 32-year-old man and officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene.

Police allege the man had been injured during a physical altercation at the home.

Mt Druitt detectives – assisted by the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad – established Strike Force Armine to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

Three people – two men aged 18 and 19, and a teenage girl – have been charged over their alleged roles in the incident; they remain before the courts.

Following further extensive inquiries, the 19-year-old man was arrested at Toukley Police Station about 12.15pm yesterday (Monday 3 July 2023).

He was charged with murder and bail refused to appear at Wyong Local Court today (Tuesday 4 July 2023).

Investigations under Strike Force Armine are ongoing.
