Swan Hill Regional Library invites the community to listen to best-selling author Darry Fraser as she discusses her newly released historical mystery novel 'The Landlady of the Resolution Hotel'.
Libraries Manager, Camille Cullinan said the author talk, to be held on Tuesday the 24 of November, was a unique opportunity to hear directly from Fraser herself, regarding her new novel, as well as the courage, resilience and spirit of the women of her stories.
"Having visited Swan Hill Regional Library on several occasions, Fraser has become a firm favourite among local readers, with her engaging storytelling and strong connection to the region making her a welcome and familiar face.
"The novel is set in 1894 at 'the loneliest pub on the Murray River' and follows four women as they wrestle with and attempt to hide from the truth.
"One of several of her novels set on the Murray River, the location of her new book is deeply familiar to Fraser, having spent part of her childhood here in Swan Hill," Ms Cullinan said.
Fraser's work is known for captivating readers with vivid characters in the rich landscapes of a past era, where adventure and empowerment intertwine.
During the event, attendees will also have the chance to purchase books, as well as have books signed by the author, with cash and EFTPOS facilities available.
