AdvanceAg returns bigger and better in 2021

After more than 300 people attended the inaugural event, AdvanceAg is returning bigger and better in July 2021 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development David Basham said preparation is underway for AdvanceAg to be held on 23 July 2021.

"The first AdvanceAg held earlier this year was a resounding success with 87 per cent of attendees stating they would likely attend the event again," said Minister Basham.

"The unique part of AdvanceAg was the focus on technologies already available for adoption and encouraging our farmers to think about how new innovations could grow their business.

"The event is set to draw on effective case studies from fellow producers, AgTech developers, and known industry leaders, to show how using innovative techniques delivers benefits on-farm.

"The event is a key initiative of the South Australian AgTech Advisory Group and builds on the State Government's focus in driving growth for South Australia.

"We expect there to be significant interest for next year's AdvanceAg and are encouraging the primary production sector to save 23 July 2021 in their calendar."

AgTech Advisory Group Independent Chair Dr Leanna Read said advancements in AgTech in South Australia would drive future growth in primary industries.

"The Agtech Advisory Group's research indicates that effective networking and showcasing are valuable tools for increasing Agtech uptake by our producers," said Dr Read.

"Having AdvanceAg as a platform to showcase innovations to drive productivity and quality is a testament to the Government's initiative in this space and I encourage producers and innovators to add this event to their calendars."

Elders Chief Executive Officer Mark Allison said developments in AgTech were crucial for the primary industries sector.

"Elders recognises, more than ever, the importance of innovation and the advancement of AgTech to match the needs of producers across Australia," Mr Allison said.

"Events like AdvanceAg are crucial to the growth of our industry, which is why Elders is proud to be a key sponsor."

Expressions of interest for exhibitors, speakers and sponsors are now open via the event website. The single day showcase event will be held on Friday 23 July 2021, with a pre-event welcome function on 22 July 2021.
