Families are set for a wildly imaginative theatrical adventure this month Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) when CDP Kids brings Andy Griffiths YOU & ME and The Land of Lost Things to the stage. A brilliantly bonkers production for children aged 6–12 and their adults, written by Richard Tulloch.
YOU & ME and The Land of Lost Things will feature at the DRTCC on Thursday 26 March 2026 at 10am, 12pm and 6pm and Friday 27 March at 10am and 12pm.
From CDP Kids, the team behind the 13, 26, 52, 78 and 91 Storey Treehouse stage adaptations, this new production brings Andy Griffiths' chaotic, clever and joyfully silly story to life. It's a high energy theatrical experience packed with action, imagination and extremely questionable navigation.
YOU & ME have lost something important. Well… actually, lots of things. A guinea pig. A lucky rabbit's foot. Possibly the plot! Their only hope is a daring quest through the Land of Lost Things - a world filled with snapping turtles, flying socks, treasure hungry pirates and a very anxious bull. With a bathtub boat, a guinea pig detector and a little bit of luck, they might just make it home… if they can avoid sharks, Johnny Knucklehead and the Lost Foot Empawrium.
This year, DRTCC is enhancing its family‑friendly offerings with the introduction of a new child ticket price for all family performances, with tickets for ages 1–11 now just $19.00. DRTCC's Performing Arts and Venues Coordinator, Tiffany Rowland said the initiative reinforces our ongoing commitment to supporting local families and encouraging young audiences to experience the magic of live theatre.
"We want as many children as possible to enjoy the excitement of live performance. This show is full of laughter, adventure and pure imagination, and accessible child pricing helps ensure more families can share that joy together," Ms Rowland said.
With strong demand for daytime sessions, families are encouraged to book soon.
"Our daytime performances are extremely popular, and seats are booking quickly," Ms Rowland said.
Get ready for snapping turtles, flying socks and a quest like no other. And whatever you do… don't lose your ticket.
Tickets are available now at drtcc.com.au, at the Box Office, or by calling 6801 4378.
