The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) annual public meeting will be held Tuesday, 10 March 2026 from 11:15 to 12:15 am EDST.
This meeting gives those interested the opportunity to meet with AFMA Commissioners and discuss matters of relevance to AFMA's work.
Agenda
The meeting will include information about:
- Commonwealth fisheries management.
- Commonwealth fisheries domestic, foreign, and international compliance operations.
- How AFMA engages with stakeholders.
Please note, recreational fishing, commercial coastal and inland fishing, and aquaculture fall under State and Northern Territory management and will not be covered in the meeting.
There will also be an opportunity to address specific topics or questions posed by attendees. On registration, we welcome you to submit questions or topics that you would like addressed during the meeting.
