Aggravated robbery at Morphett Vale

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at Morphett Vale yesterday afternoon.

At 4pm on Saturday 4 March three men and a woman were in a ride share vehicle when they demanded the driver stop on Ayleen Avenue. The group got out of the vehicle and allegedly assaulted a man walking on the street and stole several personal items, before getting back into the car and demanding the driver take them away from the area.

The victim, a 31-year-old Parkside man, sought assistance from a nearby business before being taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment of serious injuries.

Following an investigation, late last night police arrested a 36-year-old Christie Downs man, a 52-year-old Noarlunga Downs man and a 32-year-old Christies Beach woman and have charged all three with aggravated robbery. They were all refused bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.

The investigation into the whereabouts of the fourth suspect remains on going.

It is unknown if the suspects are known to the victim.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au – you can remain anonymous.
