Aid Sought After Blacktown Railway Assault

Police are appealing for information following an assault at a train station in Sydney's west last August.

Officers attached to Police Transport Command – North West have commenced investigations following an assault at Blacktown Railway Station on Tuesday 19 August 2025.

Police were told a 39-year-old man had an argument with another man on the platform about 6.30pm, before he was repeatedly punched by the other man.

As investigations continue, police have released images of the man they believe may be able to assist with police inquiries.

The man is described as being of African appearance, aged between 20 and 25, with black hair, and was wearing high-visibility work clothing at the time.
