Ainsworth4Foundation Boosts Men's Outcomes in Prostate Cancer Fight

On the final day of Dry July (Monday, July 31), the Ainsworth4Foundation raised their glasses to all Australians raising funds for Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) by doubling all donations.

The Ainsworth4Foundation generously matched $50,000 worth of donations from the community to wrap up the campaign, in a strong show of support for the 24,000 men diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.

All funds raised for Dry July for PCFA, a major beneficiary of the event, help fund the charity's vital Prostate Cancer Nursing and Telenursing Service.

PCFA CEO Anne Savage commended the Ainswroth4Foundation for their support, and spoke to the contributions of Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses in hospitals and clinics across the country.

"We are extremely thankful to the Ainsworth4Foundation for their generosity and support of Dry July, boosting funding for our life-changing specialist nurses," said Ms Savage.

"Around 66 Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer every day, and without community support, many of them will walk alone.

"Right now, our specialist nurses support 2 in 3 men with prostate cancer, but thousands of men - particularly those in regional and remote communities - are still missing out.

"With the support we have received through Dry July, we will be able to help close this gap."

Prostate cancer remains a major challenge for men's health in Australia. Thanks to campaigns such as Dry July, PCFA's specialist nurses and dedicated telenursing service are able to answer the call when prostate cancer strikes and be there on the ground to assist men.

"Community donations are key to empowering survivors to thrive in the weeks and years following the news that they have prostate cancer," Ms Savage shared.

"Cheers to the Ainstworth4Foundation and everyone who donated for making a difference in the lives of our uncles, fathers, sons and grandfathers by going Dry throughout July for PCFA."
