A Golden Grove grandmother has woken to news that seemed too good to be true, admitting she couldn't tell if she was dreaming after discovering she'd won $1 million in last night's Weekday Windfall draw.
The Adelaide resident held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall, draw 4611 on Monday 13 October 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $1 million.
When we called the winner this morning, she hadn't checked her ticket yet and was left completely stunned by the million-dollar news.
"Oh my god! Me? I've just won a million dollars! Are you serious?" she questioned.
"I've only just woken up. Am I dreaming? I feel like this has to be a dream right now.
"Wow! I'm shocked. I'm really shocked. I have no other way to describe it.
"I can pay my house off and help my daughter and grandchildren.
"I've been playing for years, probably since I was in my 20s or 30s, and I usually just get a random ticket each week.
"I normally win $5 or sometimes $30. This is unbelievable."
The hardworking woman admitted the enormity of the win was difficult to process.
"It's tough to wrap my head around. I've always been a hard worker, even working two jobs for several years, so you have no idea how much this means," she said.
"Thank you so much. I need some time for this to all sink in!"
Her winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Plaza Newsagency, Shop 19 Tea Tree Plaza, 976 North East Road, Modbury.
Plaza Newsagency owner Ming Song said she was thrilled to hear her outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
"We are amazed to hear the news and we think our customers will likely be as excited as us," she said.
"We've sold a few over the years, so we're over the moon.
"Congratulations to our winning customer and all the best with your prize!"
