AMA President-elect of WMA will address National Conference on actions by doctors to stop global warming

President-elect of the World Medical Association Dr Heidi Stensmyren will address the AMA National Conference on global action of doctors on climate change.

Dr Stensmyren, who is also President of the Swedish Medical Association and Chair of the Swedish Medical Journal, takes up her role as head of the WMA next year.

Dr Stensmyren will outline to the AMA National Conference in July the actions of doctors from around the world to halt further climate damage, and action being taken within national health care systems regarding the carbon footprint of health service delivery.
