Amcor Invests in French Cheese Foil Packaging Site

ZURICH, October 1 , 2026 - Amcor (NYSE: AMCR, ASX: AMC), a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, has invested several million euros in a new production line at its Froges site in South-East of France, now home to Amcor's fastest cheese foil lacquering line.

The Froges site employs approximately 125 people and has been part of the region's industrial landscape for more than 100 years. Specializing in varnishes and thin aluminum foil lacquering, the site primarily serves the cheese packaging market. This investment marks the latest chapter in its long history, combining generations of manufacturing know-how with advanced technology to support greater efficiency and operational excellence.

Froges is one of Amcor's three key European production sites for processed cheese foil, alongside Sarrebourg, France, and Teningen, Germany. Together, these sites combine complementary expertise and capabilities, providing supply contingency and flexibility to serve customers.

"The opening of this new line is an important milestone for Amcor Froges," said Jim Davril, Plant General Manager at Froges. "While it represents a significant investment in our operations, it is equally an investment in the people whose expertise and commitment have shaped the site's success over many years. We are proud of what has been achieved here and confident in the role the site will continue to play for our customers, our employees and the region in the years ahead."

The investment reflects Amcor's continued focus on maintaining a strong manufacturing presence in the region and supporting the development of future talent through skilled employment, training and apprenticeship opportunities.
