An NFB, INIS

From: National Film Board

April 9, 2019 - Montreal - National Film Board of Canada (NFB)

The NFB's French Program Documentary Studio, in collaboration with Quebec's Institut national de l'image et du son (INIS), Réalisatrices Équitables and Femmes du cinéma, de la télévision et des médias numériques (FCTMN), presents the fourth public conversation in Les femmes de métiers, a series that aims to inspire more women to pursue careers in the film industry by sharing the experiences of successful female artists. On Monday, April 15, the topic will be music composition, and the featured guests, Judith Gruber-Stitzer, Jenny Salgado and Claudie Bertounesque, are composers from different generations with rich and diverse careers. Audience members will have the chance to engage in lively discussions with our guests on the subject of getting into the field and getting established. The event will be moderated by Nathalie Cloutier, Executive Producer of the NFB French Program Documentary Studio. The previous three discussions, held in 2018 at INIS, addressed cinematography, film sound and editing. Les femmes de métiers is an NFB initiative aimed at promoting gender parity in key creative positions other than directing.
