The Townsville resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4635, drawn Saturday 20 December 2025. He looks forward to $1,566,506.31.

The winning husband was with his wife when he received the surprise call from us.

"What?! What?! Oh my god!" he laughed.

"I thought it was some sort of prank call, and I was ready to block your number!

"My wife is screaming in the background!

"That's a great little surprise, especially with Christmas this week.

"I was supposed to work right through to Christmas but now I won't be!

"Oh my god!"

When asked how he planned to enjoy his newly-minted millionaire status, the North Queenslander had a couple of plans in mind.

"I'll pay off the mortgage and quit work," he shared.

"We're so excited!"

His winning 10-game QuickPick was purchased at Golden Arrow Annandale News, Shop 5, Annandale Central Shopping Centre, 91-101 Macarthur Drive, Annandale.

Golden Arrow Annandale News owner Amanda Shield said she was so excited to have sold her first division one winning entry since taking over the outlet three years ago.

"Someone's going to have a fantastic Christmas! A big congratulations to our lucky customer on their awesome win," she shared.

"Our customers will be excited to see if we sell another major prize-winning ticket for them. They often ask if we've sold a division one winning entry yet and now, we can tell them we have.

"We're honoured to play a part in such a magical moment, especially this close to Christmas. We hope all your Christmas wishes come true."
