Antarctic research priority - public call for research proposals

As part of its current research funding round, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is making a public call for research proposals to address an essential research priority for the Heard Island and McDonald Islands Fishery. This priority has been identified for potential AFMA funding in 2022/23.

Applicants should use the research priority scope provided as a guide when developing their full proposals. To assist in the quality control and to ensure that proposals are relevant to the identified research priority, applicants are invited to discuss their proposals with the relevant AFMA Fishery Manager and the AFMA Research Section prior to submission.

Please note that AFMA is seeking submission of full proposals by Monday 15 November 2021.

Applicants will be notified in late February 2022, as to whether their proposal has been endorsed for funding.

Find the research priority scope and further information on completing full proposals on the AFMA Antarctic research priority page.
