Sending money overseas will soon be even safer, simpler and faster with ANZ to launch its upgraded International Money Transfers feature on ANZ Plus.
The enhanced feature builds on ANZ's existing offering to deliver a seamless and secure experience for customers, setting a new benchmark for how Australians send money internationally.
The service on ANZ Plus will provide customers with in-app tracking and estimated payment delivery times and updates.
With near real-time transfers into select regions and advanced fraud detection including ANZ's Falcon technology, the service offers stronger security protections compared to FinTech alternatives.
A significant number of ANZ customers make regular payments overseas, many of which are migrants sending money to family members back home.
Customers can send funds to over 250 destinations in ANZ's global network, with some of the most popular destinations including New Zealand, India, the UK and the Pacific.
ANZ Acting Managing Director Retail Products, Australia Retail, Kate Britton, said ANZ International Money Transfers on ANZ Plus would ensure customers could confidently send money worldwide in just a few taps.
"Sending money overseas is a regular part of life for thousands of our customers. From migrants sending money to family back home to Australians supporting relatives studying or working overseas, we know how important it is that these payments are fast, reliable and secure.
"This upgrade means customers can send funds internationally in minutes in some regions, rather than days. Combined with ANZ's advanced fraud protection and real‑time tracking, customers can have confidence their money is going where it needs to go - quickly and securely," concluded Ms Britton.
Business customers who use ANZ Internet Banking or Phone Banking to make overseas payments will still be able to do so, with this service also enhanced to make international payments simpler.

International Money Transfers on ANZ Plus include:
- Competitive pricing - no transfer fees when sending foreign currency from an eligible account. $0 correspondent fees for select currencies and destinations.
- Transparency - clear upfront rates, transfer fees, estimated arrival times, estimated correspondent fees and transaction status updates in ANZ Plus.
- Convenience - available on all ANZ Plus deposit accounts with payments functionality via the ANZ Plus app.
- Security - bank grade security with ANZ Falcon monitoring every transaction and multi-layered protection including scam warnings and biometric authentication.
To ensure a smooth introduction of this new service, support will be available for customers via ANZ Plus Coaches.
International Money Transfers will be available on ANZ Plus this week.
