Appeal After Assault At Springwood

Officers from the Police Transport Command are seeking public assistance after an assault in the Blue Mounatins earlier this month.

About 7.10pm on Thursday 5 March 2026, officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command were called to Springwood Train Station after reports a 55-year-old man was assaulted while he was waiting for a train.

The man was not seriously injured.

As investigations continue, officers from Police Transport Command North West have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, medium build with a black beard.

He was last seen getting off a train at Penrith Railway Station wearing a blue hat, grey t-shirt, black shorts, and white sport shoes.
