Appeal after sexual touching - Burwood

Investigators area appealing for public assistance after a sexual touching incident in Burwood last week.

Police have been told an unknown man entered a clothing store at a shopping centre on Burwood Road, Burwood, where he approached a female worker from behind and sexually touched her, before leaving about 4.15pm on Friday 23 December 2022.

The man was last seen entering Burwood Park from Wilga Street a short time later.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man depicted is described as being of Asian appearance, aged in his 40s, of solid build with short black hair.

He is shown wearing a white button-up long sleeve shirt, white shorts with a sparse pattern, and running shoes with bright orange laces.
