Appeal for dashcam footage after armed robbery at Bellata

Police are appealing for public assistance after an armed robbery near Narrabri this morning.

Just after 4:10am (Sunday 1 April 2019), police were called to a service station on the Newell Highway, Bellata, after reports of an armed robbery.

Police have been told two males approached the counter and threatened the attendant.

The two men left with a sum of money and were last seen travelling south on the Newell Highway in a vehicle (no description at this stage).

The attendant was not injured during the incident.

Officers from Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the area, particularly any vehicles seen driving at speed or erratically on the Newell Highway in the early hours of this morning (Monday 1 April 2019).
