Appeal for info over home invasion in Glebe

Police are appealing for public assistance following a home invasion in Sydney’s inner west last night, NSW Police say.

Just before 10pm (Sunday 9 September 2018), three males forced their way into a home on Phillip Street, Glebe, and threatened the occupant, a 73-year-old woman, with a knife.

She was not injured.

The males then left the property and forced their way into a neighbouring house.

A 50-year-old woman inside was threatened and assaulted before the males stole cash and cigarettes and fled the scene on foot.

She declined medical treatment.

Officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Police wish to speak with three males who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

One male has been described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his 20s, between 175cm-180cm tall, of a medium build and was last seen wearing dark clothing and a dark woollen cap.

The second male has been described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his 20s, 16cm tall, and of a thin build. He was last seen wearing jeans and a dark-coloured jacket.

The third male has been described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his late teens or 20s, of a medium build, and wearing dark jeans and a dark-coloured jacket.
